Itinerary

Day 1Aswan Highlights / Check in The Boat / Round trip in the Nile River

In the morning, our Tour guide will pick you up from your preferred pickup point to start your tour visiting the highlights of Aswan including.

Temple of Philae.

Considered as one of the most beautiful Ptolemaic temples and is located on Agilkia Island. Philae Temple was located before its rescue on Philae Island, which was drowned after the construction of the High Dam. The name Philae means (beloved) in ancient Greek. The temple was dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis, the protective goddess.

The High Dam.

It was built by the Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser that aimed to control the Nile floods that used to come annually and drown many agricultural lands. The High Dam is considered one of the facilities of great benefit because of the control it achieved in the Nile waters, so that Egypt became an agricultural country with different types throughout the year, and it also protected Egypt from the dangers of flooding.

The unfinished obelisk.

It is located in an ancient quarry used by the Pharaohs to extract very hard flint stones to build giant and strong temples that are not affected by the factors of time. There is the obelisk that was not completed due to some technical defects and the impossibility of its use, and it was intended for Queen Hatshepsut. This obelisk was supposed to be in the Karnak Temple, but it was left as it was, giving us a good idea and telling us that the Egyptian obelisks were cut from a single stone block.

After the tour, We will then take you to the Felucca boat to check in and rest for a while before lunch.

During the Lunch, we will serve you delicious Nubian and Egyptian dishes, including the famous Upper Egyptian tagines, served with rice and pickles.

After lunch, we will take a river cruise to see the beautiful Aswan Islands, some of which are inhabited, while others are nature reserves for many migratory birds.

After that, return to the boat and rest, have dinner, and spend a beautiful and relaxing night by the Nile.

Day 2Abu Simbel Tour / Nubian Village Tour

Early morning at 5 AM, Your tour guide will make sure that you have your breakfast box from the reception as it will be prepared for you before you travel to Abu Simbel.

Enjoy a smooth and comfortable journey from Aswan to Abu Simbel to enjoy visiting one of the most great temples in Egypt

Abu Simbel Temples

Abu Simbel temple is an archaeological site located on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 290 km southwest of Aswan. It is one of the “Nubian Monuments,” a UNESCO World Heritage Site, extending from the river from Abu Simbel to Philae (near Aswan).

The twin temples were originally carved out of the mountains during the reign of King Ramesses II in the 13th century BC, as a permanent monument to him and Queen Nefertari, commemorating his victory at the Battle of Kadesh. However, in 1960, the entire complex was relocated to an artificial hill made of a dome structure, above the reservoir of the Aswan High Dam.

After finishing your visit, You will be transferred back to Aswan and will be dropped off at your Felucca Boat to enjoy your lunch on board.

Then, Your tour guide will take you to visit some Nubian villages to learn about the customs and traditions of this beautiful people, known for their simplicity and unique customs passed down through generations.

You will visit the (katateb), which are simple schools for memorizing the Holy Quran and the Arabic language. You will then go to some Nubian-style houses to see their interiors and admire the simplicity of the design and furnishings.

We will host you in a Nubian house, such as a traditional tea party.

Day 3Sailing towards Kom Ombo / Check out

Early in the morning, we’ll begin our northbound sailing to Kom Ombo, where we’ll have the opportunity to visit the Camel Temple, dedicated to the ancient Egyptian goddesses Hathor and Sobek.

During the sailing, a unique experience, you’ll see villages, hamlets, and lush greenery on both sides. You may have the opportunity to stop at one of these villages to meet the simple villagers and children working with their families in the fields.

Afterward, you’ll leave the boat, and we’ll arrange a car to take you either to Aswan or Luxor, which we’ll specify when booking the boat.
