Enjoy a 3-day trip including two nights to the Bahariya Oasis and the White Desert from Cairo, one night camping in the White Desert, and one night in a hot spring hotel. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and take you to the Bahariya Oasis, approximately 350 km east. This trip takes approximately 4 hours.

Itinerary

Day 1Travel To Bahariya Oasis From Cairo / Camping

Pick-up time is 7:00 AM from your hotel in Giza or Cairo. Drive to Bahariya Oasis, about 350 kilometers east. This journey takes about 4 hours, with toilet and coffee stops along the way. You will take a 4×4 Jeep and drive to the Black Desert. Lunch will be served here at El Heiz Oasis. Later, on your first day, explore the White Desert National Park, Egypt’s most famous desert destination.

Then head to Wadi El Ajabat, located deep within the White Desert. You have to be there to experience the beauty of the place. Millions of years ago, the place was under the sea. Over the years, unique rock formations of limestone and chalk (and possibly sand) have evolved.

As the sky turns pink and then a deep fiery orange, the rock formations fade away, and silence reigns. Sitting around a small fire and enjoying the simplest meal of chicken, rice, and vegetables, you will feel that nothing has ever been so delicious. The Bedouin staff will arrange dinner and camping in the desert.

Day 2Travel Deep To The White Desert / Hotel Hot Spring

You will enjoy breakfast in the desert before driving to Bahariya Oasis. On the way back, you will visit Crystal Mountain, locally known as Jebel El-Azzaz. This is a crystalline hill, visible on the right, often called the Jewel of the Desert. It is composed of quartzite crystals and looks stunning in the sunlight. A few decades ago, this natural feature was discovered by accident.

Drive to Bahariya Oasis and enjoy the heat at Bir Segam, a hot spring that can help you relax. Located 7 km east of Bahariya on the Cairo road, it is the best hot spring in terms of temperature. Lunch will be served at Luca Restaurant in Bahariya. After lunch, you will explore Bahariya Oasis, its palm and olive fields, and Gebel El-Maghrafa.

This is where the largest dinosaur (the tidal giant Strummer) was discovered in 1914 at the base of the Maroon Lake, the largest salt lake in Bahariya Oasis. Enjoy the sunset from the top of English Mountain. The view from the top offers a panorama of the northern part of the oasis. Head to the hotel in Bahriya to check in.

Day 3Travel From Bahariya Oasis to Cairo

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the tombs of Panentiu and Djed-Ankh-Amun-Euf (Zed-Amun), and the tombs of Qasr Selim (26th Dynasty). In 1938, Egyptian archaeologist Ahmed Fakhry (1905-1973) discovered four tombs on the edge of the village of Qasr Selim.

Visit Bawiti, the capital of the Bahariya Oasis, then visit the Golden Mummies Museum and the Temple of Ain Meftala in the Bahariya Oasis, then drive to Cairo.

Then, You will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo or Giza
