The era of Sultan Al-Ghuri in the early tenth century AH was characterized by architectural activity, and its buildings are among the most prominent monuments of this era. The agency is a perfect example of what agencies were like in this era. Over the years, the Al-Ghuri Agency remained without care or maintenance until its condition deteriorated and it cracked. It had to be protected by the Department of Antiquities Preservation. The agency contains a large courtyard where commercial transactions were conducted. The courtyard is surrounded by a portico and preceded by arcades.
